That is 3.03% in total fees. At Airbnb's 15.5% host fee, the same booking would have cost the owner €136.40.
How the fees work
- Stripe's card fee goes to Stripe, not to us: 1.5% + €0.25 for European cards, 2.5% + €0.25 for UK cards and 3.25% + €0.25 for other international cards, plus 2% if the card needs currency conversion.
- CasaLinking's payment handling fee is 0.5% of each card payment (1% for Stripe accounts in Canada). It covers the payment system, automatic date blocking, deposits and refunds. It is not a booking commission.
- If a guest contacts you and pays you another way, no fees go through CasaLinking at all.
- The listing subscription is free for the first 1,000 listings. From listing 1,001 it is €199 a year per property.
Where the numbers come from
Rates checked in October 2026. They change, and your own rate may differ, so check each platform.
- Airbnb: a single host fee of 15.5% for most hosts (the older 3% host fee plus a guest fee is being phased out country by country). airbnb.com/help
- Booking.com: commission varies by country and programme and is not published as one rate; around 15% is typical.
